Mid Sussex Marlins Swimming Club is one of the top competitive swimming clubs in Sussex fast becoming one of the best in the Southern Region.
It's not always about competitive swimming and the Marlins understand this and have a huge structured environment for the development of learners in our Teaching Groups programme. Swimmers begin life in the Marlins in Grade 1 and move through the club up to Grade 10, nicknamed 'Mini squad'. From here they can take the advanced competitive route up through County, Regional, National Development and National squads where swimmers are actively encouraged to race under the Marlins name, or take the less demanding and not necessarily competitive route through the Training Squads
A high training ethic is expected in all groups and squads, and children are always encouraged to take part in competitions, whether they be in-club competitions, or the Club Championships, or inter-club competitions like the Speedo & Sussex Leagues, Open Meets and County, Regional and National Championships.
Every Marlin will get every opportunity.
Important Advice for Parents
Click here for our child protection policy: http://www.olymposmarlins.org/welfare/child-protection
Please note particularly that it is your responsibility (not the club’s) to supervise your children in the leisure centres before and after their classes, including in the changing rooms.
Please don’t drop children outside the pool - be sure to check that their teacher/coach is on poolside before leaving them in case there has been an unexpected cancellation and we were unable to contact you.
