What is meant by 'Levels' in
open meets?
Below is a list of the upcoming fixtures. They are listed in order of entry date - the competitions at the top have the most immediate entry date. You can find information about events where the deadline has passed at the bottom of the list.
Entering Open Meets
When entering an open meet please be aware that we use the times from our database. These are the times we have from previous open meets, club championships, development galas, officiated time trials, Speedo and Sussex county league. If you are entering a time that is not on our database, please will you write on the back of your entry form:
> Where the time was achieved
> Date of the swim
> In which competition you swam the time
This time will only be used if it can be verified.
You can not use times that have been given in a normal training session
To find your times on the Olympos marlins website.
- On the left hand side click on RESULTS AND RANKINGS
- This gives you a drop down menu click on RESULTS HY-TEK
- You will now go to team manager, at the top of the page click on ATHLETES
- Find your Childs name. When you have found it click on the left hand column TIMES
- This page holds all the events and times your child has swum. On the left hand side is a box marked COURSE; you need to click on this so it shows SCM (short course) or LCM (long course).
Short course times are achieved in a 25meter pool
Long course times are achieved in a 50m pool.
Olympos Marlins Development Series 2008
Open to all swimmers from the Teaching Groups (Grades 1-10), Training 3 and other invited swimmers, the Development Series is the perfect introduction to racing and a great way to improve your times, win medals and have fun. There is more information about this event in the Development Series page.

Olympos Marlins Squad Championships
The Squad Championships are here and as the first ever sqaud champs since the merger it's sure to be a cracking competition. These champs are open to Gold, Silver, Bronze, Masters, Training 1 and invited swimmers from T2 and Minisquad. Please return all Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath cups by the end of April to Kim Collings, Adrian Bowen or Beth Ross.

Fees: £1 per event (pay no more than £5 for 5+ events)

GB Masters (Long Course) 2008
As it is a national competition, we will be entering as Sussex Marlets and Alison Gwynn will be sorting out the relay entries for Sussex Martlets. If you are entering and would like to be included in the relay teams you need to be a member of Sussex Martlets for least 60 days before the start of the competition. If you are not already a member, please see Anthony Gimson for details.
We are displaying this early as you will need to consider booking accommodation and travel and it can get difficult nearer the time. Most will be staying at the Premier Inn, Manchester (Portland Street). The cost is £124 for a twin room for 2 nights.
Please let Alison know if you intend to enter this competition.

The SER Age Groups (Girls 10-13, Boys 11-14) and are swum long course at K2. Check if you have made any qualifying times and speak to your coach if you think you are eligable to enter.
