Our Club

Formed in 2007 following the merger of Burgess Hill SC and Haywards Heath SC, Olympos Marlins now has over 900 active swmmmers, of all ages ( from 5 to 80) and all abilities.

The club has full ASA Swim 21 Accreditation.

The new club has already proved a success with the immediate promotion of the Swim Team to the National Swimming League Southern Premier Division, after winning the Division 1 Title in December 2007.

The success of our Competitive Squad swimmers, is based upon the clubs comprehensive Childrens Teaching programme and Training Group sessions (for teenage swimmers not in squads), managed by our Head of Swimming (Lawrie Thomson) and his experienced Teaching and Coaching staff.

The Masters (Adult) section now numbers over 200,swimmers, making it one of the largest and competively most successfull Masters groups in the Country.

The Mens, Senior and Junior Water Polo Teams are one of the strongest squads in Sussex, whlile the Ladies Team swim in the National League, with a team containing several home grown internationals

Our Dolphin & Starfish, sessions for the "disabled" have been established for 20 years and are enjoyed by the swimmers

Mid Sussex Marlins in based in West Sussex, around the towns of Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath. We have a superb cache of facilities including four swimming pools, two of which are sited in full sports centres, with fully equipped modern gyms.

Our primary pool is Olympos Burgess Hill (formerly The Triangle); an 8 lane, 25m pool with fully moveable floors, electronic timing, generous spectator seating and fully equipped gym. Olympos Haywards Heath (formerly The Dolphin) is a 6-lane 33m pool with a moveable boom at 25m and also has a large gym. We also train at the 4-lane, 25m pool of nearby Ardingly College and some of our youngest swimers train at the Princess Royal Pool in Haywards Heath.
